Becky Jorgenson, MA, LPCS, NCC, CEDS, NCTM
BeckyBioPic1Becky Jorgenson is both a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor and a Nationally Certified Counselor as well as a Nationally Certified Music Teacher. She graduated from Liberty University in 2009 with a MA in Professional Counseling and earned a BA in Music from Campbell University in 2004.

Becky is the owner of Mosaic Counseling Center, PLLC, a dream that began at age 15. She provides holistic counseling services in a variety  of treatment areas including the following: anxiety disorders, mood/depressive disorders, abuse, trauma, self-harm, eating disorders, post-abortion, behavioral issues, adjustment, career, spirituality, human sex trafficking, and grief. She specializes in working with adolescents (11-17) and young adults (18-30); Becky also enjoys working with children (4+).

In addition to her work at Mosaic, Becky teaches piano/vocal lessons at her private music studio, Psallontes Music Studio. As a singer/songwriter who enjoys performing locally, she has a passion for instilling creativity in the lives of others. This passion spills into her work at Mosaic, where she specializes in implementing the Creative Arts into the therapeutic process. Becky especially enjoys using music, visual art, movement, and play in her sessions. From a clinical perspective, Becky uses primarily acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) approaches from a person-centered perspective; however, she incorporates additional therapeutic approaches based upon the client’s individual need. Becky is also a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist and is currently pursuing certification as a Registered Expressive Arts Therapist.

Becky is a member of the American Counseling Association, the American Association of Christian Counselors, the Association for Creativity in Counseling, the American College Counseling Association, and the Association for Specialists in Group Work. Additional education includes studying adolescent issues, self-harm, human sex trafficking, creative arts, expressive arts therapies, eating disorders, depression/anxiety, abuse, and trauma.

In her spare time, Becky enjoys painting, playing piano, songwriting, singing, local theatre, yoga, reading, puddle-jumping, dumpster-diving, spending time with friends, UNC basketball, Green Bay football, NC Museums, playing with her certified therapy dog Cody, and the occasional uninhibited frolic in the sun.
